I enjoyed visiting the Sam Houston Library and Research Center in Liberty that serves as the official regional historical resource depository for the 10 southeast Texas counties of Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Polk, San Jacinto, and Tyler. They soon will open a museum featuring artifacts showcasing the heritage of Southeast Texas from prehistory to modern times. This facility is a valuable asset to SD-3 and southeast Texas!
