Senate Bill 222:
guarantees paid maternity leave for state employees. Women who give birth to a child, adopt a child, or have a child via surrogacy are now entitled to eight weeks of paid leave. Men who’s spouse has a child, adopt, or has a child via surrogacy are also now entitled to four weeks of paid leave.
